PASEO/PSMA Installation of Onlot Wastewater Systems Training Course - Scranton PA

This two-day course will educate attendees in proper design and installation of septic systems in a manner so the systems operate effectively upon startup and are accessible for regular service over the life of the system.

Topics covered will include: Industry Integrity, Installation Safety, Soils and Site Evaluation, Materials and Techniques, Installation Planning, Distribution Pressure and Gravity Systems, Tanks, Installation Piping, and, Pumps & Controls.  A detailed list of learning objectives and topics can be viewed HERE.

This course has been approved by PA DEP for 12 SEO continuing education credits.  Additionally, it has been approved by PA DEP as installer training and will result in trainees having their name and contact information published on DEP's website.

If you are a regulatory or design SEO, this course will help you understand the best practices that should be utilized when installing an onlot system in Pennsylvania.  In fact, you may want to encourage system installers active in your municipality to consider taking this course along with you so that everyone is operating from a common understanding.

If you are a firm providing system installation services, this training program will help set your company apart from your competition.  Not only will employees be able to tout their DEP-approved installer training credentials, but more importantly they will have a greater working knowledge of installation standards in Pennsylvania.  Such training may help prepare them to take a NEHA CIOWTS designation exam.

This course is open to any interested trainee -- you do not need to be a member of PASEO or PSMA to register.

The training schedule is:

Tuesday - 8:00am - Registration Open; Training runs 8:30am until aprox. 4:30pm

Wednesday - Training runs from 8:00am until approx. 4:00pm

The training course is entirely classroom based.  Attendees should bring note-taking materials and would benefit from bringing a calculator.  While there will be homework assigned on Day 1, there is no exam associated with this course.  Continental breakfast fare and lunch will be provided on both days.
