Sweaters That Fit: From A to Z

This series will address almost everything needed to make a sweater that actually fits! We'll cover: pattern & yarn selection, gauge & swatching, measurements, picking up stiches, setting in sleeves, & seaming, as well as many more interesting and necessary tidbits.

Level: Advanced Beginner

Prerequisites: Must be able to knit, purl, cast on, bind off, increase, decrease, & read patterns.

Prior to the 1st session: Please review patterns and have at least two with you.

Choose a pattern using the following criteria: 

• Plan on using a worsted or DK weight yarn
• Make sure it's a bottom-up pullover sweater, knit in 4 pieces
• Try to find a pattern that has diagrams/schematics.

We'll have a selection of recommend patterns available at the shop on Sept 25th (3-6pm) or Oct 4 (11am-1pm)

You may not want to get all of your yarn prior to swatching, but give some thought to yarns you'd like to use. If items need to be ordered for you, please let us know as soon as possible-but no later than two weeks prior to Oct 9.

Please not that the class will meet as follows:

• Session 1-October 9 from 5-8pm
• Session 2- October 23 from 6-8pm
• Session 3- November 6 from 6-8pm
• Session 4- November 20 from 5-8pm
