Painting A Better Tomorrow - Volunteers of America Transitional Housing for Former Foster Youth 

Come out and join us for just 4 hours

and help brighten someone's day!

We will be painting the doors and trim for Volunteers of America's transitional housing for former foster youth program.

Join us in making a difference for these former foster youth 

as they take a step forward to living a positive changed life. 

Prep Day

WHEN: Friday, November 7, 2014

HOW MANY: 30 volunteers

TIME: 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

DUTIES:

• Wipe down, sand, and some unhinging of over 82 doors 
• Rearrange any furniture or valuables to create a safe painting space
• Mask and tape the interior of 4 residential buildings with plastic, paper, and covers
• Set up registration table, painting stations, cleaning stations, and  snack and lunch station
• Put up signage materials in and outside the property
• Paint if needed 

Painting Day

WHEN: Saturday, November 8, 2014

HOW MANY: 50 volunteers

TIME: approximately 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. 

DUTIES:

• Paint and trim doors and door frames
• Possibly paint ceilings, designated walls and cabinets
