Native Trees of Yakima County

The Yakima Area Arboretum is pleased to announce the launching of its first Naturalist led educational program on Saturday, September 27 from 10 AM to 12 PM with a presentation and walk on Native Trees of Yakima County.

Arboretum Naturalist Bob Chicken offers an introductory class on how to identify some of Yakima County's most common native trees.  Participants will directly interact with Arboretum specimens, and then, with the help of an experienced professional forester, create a personalized identification field guide.
