Grant Writing for Municipal Officials

The availability of grant funds is unprecedented for New Jersey municipalities. Successful grant writing requires skills that municipal officials and staff may not have had to utilize before now. This half-day course will review grant writing techniques and tips of the trade.

Attendees will learn about tools to use in preparing grant application and how to successfully obtain and use public sector funding.  The target audience is  local municipal staff or community based organizations.

Course Instructor: Leah Yasenchak, Brownfield Redevelopment Solutions, Inc. (BRS)

BRS is an expert in putting together winning grant applications and can develop applications that
capitalize on the most competitive aspects of the applicant’s projects. BRS has made an art form of
tailoring applications to meet the goals of the funders, while always keeping an eye on the ability of the
future grantee to manage the project once funded. Our successes lie not only with writing winning
grant proposals, but also with ensuring that they are able to be implemented.
