Single in the Classic City---Let's Talk about Sex:
One of the responsibilities of every single adult is the task of working through her or his sexuality and how it will be expressed in relationships. This workshop will surprise attendees how easily and comfortably they will talk about and explore many of the big questions about sex. Christians often say that sexual intercourse and the genital expression of sexuality in relationships should be saved for marriage but we seldom in practical and appealing ways explain why and how we wait for marriage and practice chastity. We don't deal with "horny" very well and explore how to help each other grow into sexual health and wholeness.
The Christian non-profit organization Sexual Wholeness has created an organization called CASE (The Christian Association of Sexual Educators) that develops video-based courses. It has created a powerful and entertaining course about single sexuality called Dance of the Sexes. This video and its workbooks will create the content for this workshop. Each participant will receive a workbook with discussion questions and during the time together on Friday and Saturday everyone will have fun looking at the videos and discussing these important topics.
"Single in the Classic City" workshop will leave participants with much better answers to their sexual questions and challenge the sexual attitudes and behaviors of our hook-up culture. We believe you will see sex and the way God created it to be appreciated and enjoyed in a new life-changing way.
“Dance of the Sexes: Celebrating the Soul in Single Sexuality” — Six innovative lessons, the Big Questions for singles, develop the concept that singles can be whole sexually. A deep look at the heart attitudes and how singles can honor their sexuality — not a simplistic, “Sex is for marriage.” This worshop will help singles experience chaste, intimate relationships without sexual confusion and mistakes. We believe chastity is a courageous call to value, celebrate and protect one's own sexuality and the sexuality of the men and women in our lives. Come find better answers to the following questions.
