Light Your Fire Camp Retreat

Light Your Fire

A Rustic Retreat for Women

I LOVED going to camp.

My weeks at summer camp are among the highlights of my growing up years.

What was so great about it?

I had a blast doing all of those camp-only activities like canoeing/tipping over, sailing/tipping over, decoupage, spider bite identification, s'mores, wacky olympics, trust walks, leech removal, ghost stories, and bug spray wars (ah, the good ole' days...)

Camp gave me the chance to leave stuff behind like chores, piano practice, sibling rivalry, worries, boredom, busy-ness, and expectations.

At camp, I always made new friends and bonded more deeply with my old ones.

It was the first place I really learned how to bask in nature and use the outdoors to explore my spirituality, my gifts, and my purpose in the world.

I could never quite put my finger on exactly why, but the deep peacefulnuss and profound love I felt sitting at campfire at the end of every day changed me for the better.

Fast forward to adulthood.

I recently asked myself, "What do I crave for this year?"

I knew immediately—I wanted to go back to camp.

I'm inviting you to come with me.

What to bring:

  • A deep desire to have fun and let go.
  • Sleeping bag and pillow.
  • An open mind.
  • A friend (or 3).
Be prepared to:
  • Laugh and laugh some more.
  • Try new things.
  • Dive deep and light a fire from within.
  • Make new friends.
  • Leave your busy-ness and worry behind.

What can you do at Light Your Fire?

  • Hike.
  • Kayak.
  • Walk the Labyrinth.
  • Do Art.
  • Try the High & Low Ropes Course.
  • Learn to make fire.
  • Sample other new things.
  • Grow.
  • Eat great food.
  • Drink some wine.
  • Reflect.
  • Other surprise stuff I'm not talking about right now.

$450 registration includes all food (chef prepared), lodging, activities, program materials and goodies.

  • You can reserve your spot by registering and paying the entire $450  in full. Or put down a deposit for $150 and pay the rest in February.
  • Sleeping quarters are camp-like (bunks, etc.) There is indoor plumbing, heating, and plenty of chairs so you don't have to sit on the ground unless you want to. Conditions are rustic (which means peaceful and beautiful, in my book).

*This event is just for women.

*All registrants will be asked to sign a waiver releasing Camp Manitowa and Jill Farmer Coaching from any liability.

*Camp Manitowa at Rend Lake is about 90 minutes from St. Louis and an easy drive (or plane ride) from lots of other cool places, too.

*Refund Policy= If you are unable to attend, all but $50 of your registration or deposit will be refunded if you notify Jill prior to March 1st, 2015. If you cancel your registration between March 2-March 15st, 2015, you will be refunded your payment minus $120. After March 15th, your registration is non-refundable. But, you may gift/or sell your spot to someone else if you can't use it.
