Jennifer Safian  grew up in Paris, France in a home of Modern Art collectors. She developed an interest in art at a very young age. After obtaining a Masters degree in Art History from the University of the Sorbonne, she started working in an art gallery and collecting for herself. In the mid-1980s, she moved with her family to New York where she started her own business as a private art dealer. Then, in the early 2000, she went back to school to become a family and divorce mediator. While much less involved in the art business these days and working as a full time mediator, Jennifer interests in art have not diminished. From 20th century European and American Art, to Outsider Art, to African Art.

The Clark Hulings Fund helps professional visual artists succeed in business. We concentrate our activities in three areas: grant making, business skills and community building. Our goal is to make the art of many more visual artists broadly accessible so that all of us may encounter and be enriched by their work. Through our Collector Salons we strive to promote the art of collecting, exhibiting and caring for art. It is those activities more than any others that bolster the artists behind the work.
