Ms. Kelly serves as Director of Training and Outreach in the Professional Conduct Programs division of CFA Institute.
Her duties include providing on-going training and education to the Disciplinary Review Committee which is responsible for enforcing the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct for more than 250,000 members and candidates. Ms. Kelly previously worked as a senior investigator conducting confidential investigations into allegations of professional misconduct by CFA Institute members and candidates. Before joining the Professional Conduct Program, Ms. Kelly worked as a consultant providing customized research, education materials, training, and assessments in the area of investments, ethics, leadership, and strategy for business leaders, finance professionals, and MBA students. Her work has been published by CFA Institute and Darden Business Publishing. Ms. Kelly has worked in the areas of operations, equity research, business development, and training and assessments for a variety of domestic and multinational organizations including brokerage, venture capital, and asset management firms, educational institutions and CFA Institute. A graduate of the Johns Hopkins University, Ms. Kelly has studied in both Madrid and Paris. She holds an MBA degree from the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia.

Topic Description: How would you react? Test your ethical framework and join us for an ethics case study on David Sokol’s trading activity in Lubrizol just prior to its purchase by his employer – Berkshire Hathaway. This ethics case student engages attendees in a lively discussion about real-life conduct, fundamental ethical principles, and the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct and is aimed at honing your ethical skills.
Members of CFA Society of Austin are invited at no charge. Guests and non-members may attend for a guest fee of $40 per person due at registration. Members of other CFA Societies within Texas may attend as members. Please indicate the city you are a member of on the registration page.
