My precious friend of 25 years who is my daughter-in-law's sweet mom. She has supported Causes for a Cure at every walk. Although not here to see, she will continue to walk with us and always be in our hearts.

4th Annual Walk/Run for Research
Join us for our 4th Annual Walk/Run benefiting Triple Negative and Metastatic Research
We are excited to meet again at Burroughs Park for our 4th Annual Walk/Run! Our hope this year is that each registrant will be committed to not only walk or run, but to obtain a MINIMUM $100 in sponsorships and make this our biggest year ever!
We sincerely appreciate participation, but we all know that the way Komen and Avon make the big bucks is by asking registrants for a commitment. This year we are hoping for $100 sponsorship in addition to your $25 registration. That is only 4 people at $25 each. EVERYONE CAN DO THAT!!
As a super incentive, those who raise $1000 or more in sponsorships will be entered into a raffle for the new APPLE WATCH that premiers in early 2015. 1 raffle ticket per $1000 raised. To allow you to pre-order the perfect style for you, we will give you a check for $350!
For EACH $100 you raise, you will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win a SmartWatch (undetermined brand) . If each registrant only raised $100 each, we would double (maybe even triple) the amount we raised last year. Please, please consider striving for MINIMUM $100 sponsorship! It's easy to do that and more!
TEAM COMPETITION!!
We currently have 3 teams participating in this year's walk. The team who raises the most in sponsorships will get free T-Shirts saying, "Team XXX "Walks and Rocks" for Research!" Deadline for the contest will be October 30th to allow time to order shirts. Don't have a team? You can add a team on the registration page or join a current team.
We will offer pre-sale of raffle tickets online only! These tickets will also be eligible for the SmartWatch. No financial transactions are allowed on park premises. Your ticket purchases will be available at check-in. Dig deep into your pockets and show us some love!!
