Making Authentic Inquiry Work!

Learning for a Sustainable Future in partnership with Natural Curiousity is facilitating a 2-day Professional Development experience for educators. 

Who should attend?
  • Kindergarten and primary teachers incorporating inquiry into their practice
  • Elementary classroom teachers addressing how to use authentic inquiry to integrate social studies, science, math and language
  • School principals and system leaders supporing classroom teachers with implementation of inquiry and other transformative learning strategies 
Outcomes—through their participation, educators will:
  • Experience professional inquiry methods that can in turn be applied with students
  • Investigate collaborative knowledge building principles and methods
  • Gain confidence in planning authentic inquiry learning experiences and applying appropriate assessment methodology
  • Explore how inquiry and other strategies maximize student engagement

Each participant will receive a copy of LSF’s Connecting the Dots (http://lsf-lst.ca/dots) and Natural Curiousity (www.naturalcuriosity.ca). 

Cost: $150 CAD (breakfast, lunch and refreshments included)
