Dean Nancy A. Bagranoff and the Robins School of Business are proud to invite you to our second event of the 2014-2015 Robins Executive Speaker Series, a program established to enhance connections between our students, the school and the community.
Please join us as Carol Smith, Vice President, Publisher and Chief Revenue Officer of Harper's BAZAAR, shares her thoughts on surviving and succeeding in the magazine world. Named 2008 Executive of the Year by Advertising Age and 2013 Publisher of the Year by The Daily Front Row, Ms. Smith will share lessons learned in the ever-evolving magazine industry and tips to flourish in the business.
Prior to her arrival at BAZAAR, Ms. Smith built ELLE into a multi-brand business including its alliance with Project Runway, grew Parenting from a single title to five magazines and served on the launch teams for Martha Stewart Living and several e-commerce and lifestyle websites. A graduate of George Washington University, Ms. Smith sits on the advisory board of the New York City Ballet. She was also the first woman to hold a sales position at The Wall Street Journal.
