Introduction to Fascial Manipulation

Program Description
Learn how to significantly treat acute and chronic pain.
Format
The program content will be presented in lecture format.
Outline
1.5 Hours :
- Review of new textbook: Functional Atlas of the Human Fascial System. By Carla Stecco, M.D.
- Anatomy and Physiology of the Fascial System
- Superficial, deep fascia, Neurology, Function
- Fascia: a sensory organ necessary for muscle function
- Hyaluronan & fascial gliding
- Treating the cause of the Myofascial Pain Syndrome
2.5 Hours:
- Biomechanical Model of Fascial Manipulation
- Cervical/Shoulder/Arm/Hand Sagittal Sequence
1.5 Hours:
- CC's, CF's, Spirals, Importance of QL, lateral raphé in lumbar pain
- Cervical spine FM treatment (hands-on)
1.5 Hours:
- Hands-on continued
- Demonstration of Fascial Manipulation on patient
