Please join us for a Clincal Roundtable presented by Cathy Collyer, OTR, LMT entitled "Supporting Positive Behavior and Taming Toddler Tantrums: Learn Techniques to Promote Self-Regulation Using the Happiest Toddler on the Block Program" on Thursday, October 30, 2014 from 6-8pm at The Jewish Board of Family and Children's Serivces (located at 135 West 50th Street).

Roundtable Description:
Reduce or eliminate toddler whining and tantrums by learning positive parenting techniques that set limits while establishing mutual respect and self-control.  Skills presented are based on the Happiest Toddler on the Block program developed by pediatrician, Dr. Harvey Karp.  This roundtable will give participants an understanding of temperament, ways to identify tantrum triggers, and the use of communication during each stage of toddlerhood.  Suitable for parents and clinicians, this interactive workshop is applicable to typically developing toddlers and to special needs children of all ages whose language and communication skills are in the 18-month to 4 year range.  Techniques will apply to promoting social-emotional growth and navigating developmental challenges typical of this stage of development.
