Objectives:

1. Discuss the trends of how biologics are used for IBD.
2. Clarify the different biologics, indications, uses, routes of administration, and potential side effects/contraindications for IBD.
3. Describe the role of mucosal healing in IBD - how that differs from symptom control and long term outcomes.
4. Relate the history of hepatitis C and treatment outcomes over the years.
5. Explain the newest treatments in Hep C, the role of genotype, previous treatment, cirrhosis.
6. Provide CDC recommendations on indications for testing for hepatitis C.
7. Provide current recommendations of colonoscopy in average risk/ high risk individuals.
8. Describe importance of a good prep for good outcomes and polyp surveillance.
9. Discuss the types of colon polyps.
10. Clarify the impact of screening colonoscopy on the incidence of colon cancer since screening has become widely available.
11. Preview the future of colon cancer screening.
