Growing Healthy Families:
Using Kinesiology for Healthy Pregnancy and Parenthood

Click here to see Pamela Hunt, Director of the Farm Midwifery Programs,
talk about the power of kinesiology for expectant mothers and babies.

Kinesiology is a powerful and effective modality to help mothers and babies before, during and after pregnancy. By finding where the mind-body connection is not performing at its best, problems can be pin-pointed and correction techniques applied that are specifically tailored for each woman.

The good news for you as a doula, midwife, childbirth educator, massage therapist, etc, is that you can help your clients to be much happier and to enjoy more comfortable pregnancies (see video library for examples).

Examples of common conditions and issues that I have helped prenatal, pregnant and post-partum clients resolve using kinesiology -

  • Resolving fertility challenges
  • Help to relieve nausea and morning sickness
  • Balancing the muscles of the pelvic floor to aid in carrying the baby more comfortably and optimizing the muscles for delivery
  • Relieving stress and anxiety
  • Enhancing confidence for delivery
  • Decreasing and eliminating physical pain and tension
  • Boosting energy during pregnancy
  • Enhancing relationship satisfaction and communication with intimate partner
  • Better bonding with their unborn baby
  • Resolving skin conditions during pregnancy
  • Improving mood and resolving post-partum depression
  • Resolving stress incontinence and urinary leaking during pregnancy and post-partum

In this kinesiology workshop you will learn practical techniques to help women enjoy their pregnancies and pro-actively prepare themselves for birth and parenthood in a way that no other modality can.

These techniques will include emotional, nutritional, structural/physical, and vibrational methods so that your pregnant clients, relatives or friends can clear blocks that were otherwise hidden, enabling them to feel better prepared and integrated physically, emotionally and mentally for childbirth and parenthood.

Kinesiology's combination of
modern science with traditional Oriental medicine healing techniques can help change the health and experience for pregnant women and their families. If you are interestd in helping women feel healthier, positve and confident, then this workshop is a good fit for you.

You will learn:

  • Chinese Medicine 5-Element fundamentals and how the movement of energy through the meridian system can be balanced using kinesiology
  • How to test the great 8 muscles so you can do a powerful yin meridian balancing process
  • Five basic stress defusing techniques – Neuro-Emotionals, Neuro-Vasculars, Accumulation points, Meridians and Nutrition
  • Three stress relieving cycles
  • Goal balancing with emotions

This workshop is designed for midwives, midwife assistants, doulas, childbirth educators, counselors, pregnant women, and others interested in helping women during pregnancy. No pre-requisites in kinesiology study are required to take this course.

You will receive a manual with all techniques detailed for use with your clients.
