"Building Bridges Toward A Stronger Economy"

Piedmont Together is sponsoring an equity summit entitled "Building Bridges Toward a Stronger Economy" on December 4, 2014. The summit will focus on equitable development, presentation of an Equity Profile developed for our region by PolicyLink and the creation of Equity Action Teams.

The equit summit is a continuation of the poverty summit hosted by Greensboro Mayor Nancy Vaughan back in September. The poverty summit provided backgound data and presented the challenges faced by communities throughout our region. The next step is to identify actions we can take to acheive more equitable development.

Summit attendees will gain a better understanding of equitable development and where our focus needs to be directed. Attendees will have a chance to select three strategic actions that will be addressed over the next four months. Equity Action Teams will be formed and charged with developing a report that will be presented at a follow-up summit on April 2, 2015 in Winston-Salem.

Don't miss this "region changing" event!  Be part of the movement.

Registration is limited to 200 people so please register today!
