Home Health Simulation for Nurses

Home care is a unique specialty within healthcare that requires a unique independent nature and set of knowledge, skills and competencies. Many new staff are unaware of the skills required and may transition from other settings where they are considered an expert and then fail or lack the confidence to stay in home care.

This 18 hour simulation program is specifically designed to transition staff to the reality of home care.

Simulation provides a realistic and safe learning environment that has been proven to develop high levels of competency and safety. In this realistic home care learning environment participants can make and learn from mistakes without risk to patient care. Each scenario builds on the new strategies providing opportunities to immediately integrate learning in order to grow confidence and competency.
