While the Syrah grape is the most widely planted grape in N. Rhone, it's highly influenced by local climate and ‘terroir” . Therefore, red wine made from this grape in Cornas AOC will taste different from that originating from Hermitage AOC. And that's what makes N. Rhone wines so interesting because one grape can produce such different flavours. Toronto Vintners has wines from 5 different AOCs in N. Rhone made by producers who are rising stars or who have made considerable changes to the family estate, resulting in leaps of quality.   Some are still very exceptional value for money.  Seating is limited.
