EXCITING CAREER OPPORTUNITIES IN YOUR INDUSTRY!

Education & Training spans apprenticeships, technical training, 2-4 year college and advanced degrees.

WHO:  Marine & Maritime Industry representatives interested in educating middle & high school students about career paths.  Create hands-on experiences to engage and excite students.  Last year, hundreds of students and parents attended the career fair.  This year, even more are committed to attend.

  • The AACPS STEM program is requiring over 100 students to attend.
  • For the first time, AACPS CAT South Marine program students will actively engage as an exhibitor.
  • We also reach thousands of students across Maryland & the Chesapeake Bay Region through extensive direct outreach & social media.

WHAT:  5th Annual Marine & Maritime Career Fair. Presented by: Eastport Yacht Club Foundation (EYCF), Anne Arundel County Public Schools (AACPS) and the National Sailing Center & Hall of Fame (NSHOF).  Sponsor: Marine Trades Association of Maryland (MTAM).  Become a SPONSOR and highlight your company’s commitment to educate students on pathways into marine and maritime fields.

WHERE:  Annapolis High School Cafeteria & Auditorium, 2700 Riva Road, Annapolis, MD 21401

WHEN:  Saturday, February 28, 2015, Noon to 3pm

WHY:  Share your knowledge and expertise about careers connected to the Chesapeake Bay and our nation’s oceans, rivers, and lakes.  Provide students with the opportunity to hear from your educational institutions, industries, non-profits and the military about different career paths including:  the marine trades  (electronics, carpentry, plumbing, engines, boat building, marina management, Sail making, Rigging, Interior Design, etc.);  engineering, naval architecture, product development, marketing, publishing, port management, commercial shipping & much more!
