DESCRIPTION: A Three Part Series on Creativity and Innovation
Innovation is more than just a new or creative idea. Though everyone has a slightly different take on the definition, most would agree that innovation plays a vital role in the formation of ideas and is essential to progress. In fact, innovation is thought of by many as the most important aspect of any thriving business. It’s what makes companies stand out, prevents them from stagnating and helps them prosper. A steady focus on innovation creates a brand’s intangibility, competitive advantage, and pipeline of solutions– crucial for the survival and success of any business. However, innovative thinking does not come naturally to most people. It must be learned, practiced, and used regularly.
INNOVATE VIABLE GROWTH OPPORTUNITIES
Imagining new ideas and competing in new ways is extremely challenging. By finding productive solutions to problems, innovation leads to new possibilities, transforms existing markets, creates new ones and rejuvenates a company’s sense of purpose. In a dynamic, volatile, and unpredictable marketplace, mental flexibility, agility, and adaptability are key to surviving and influencing change.
Innovative thinking channels an organization’s creativity in one direction and converts its vision to growth opportunities - by differentiating, deviating from the norm, challenging the status quo, and doing what others are not. Learn how to spark innovative thinking that results in new products, new processes and new services.
People who are able to step outside the boundaries of traditional thinking generate new ideas … solve nagging problems … make better decisions … get bottom-line results.
Learn and apply lessons Saturday Morning
These non-technical workshops will help you develop an innovator’s mindset and exercise what you learn within a team environment or on your own. Through case studies, specific real-life examples, and concept demonstrations, we will share methods that are simple to understand and easy to deploy, immediately, and with little to no cost. When you do, you’ll see how your new skills lead to innovations that lower costs, streamline procedures, increase productivity.
Organizations with a culture of innovation encourage new initiatives, nurture different points of view and produce different ways of doing things. Given the pressing needs for change, committed and strategic leadership is critical, and achieving an innovative state of mind is inescapable. Enterprises with the ability to innovate, learn how to harness the creative talent of every individual in a systematic way for the betterment of the organization and the customer, will be the corporate winners with a sustainable and competitive advantage.
Each segment in this three part series will provide hands-on, practical "how-to" knowledge and cover a different phase of the innovation process, categorized by see, think and do. In general, you will learn to expand your perceptions; identify new opportunities; initiate processes; cultivate creative skills; generate ideas; develop and promote imaginative, flexible and practical thoughts and actions using principles, practices and flexible process, containing concrete and practical approaches as well as creative and intuitive ones.
