  Led by:

Jesus Huerta, Relationship Manager Northwest, Catholic Relief Services

Kelly Hickman, Assistant Director of the Missions Office for the Archdiocese of Seattle

Christ, let your light guide all those who journey...

Let us gather for reflection during the Advent journey.  Join Catholic Relief Services and your Missions Office for a day of formation and reflection for our CRS Rice Bowl contacts in the Archdiocese of Seattle, and for all who are interested in and committed to enhansing global solidarity in our faith communities.  This will be a faith sharing retreat with large group presentations, small group discussions, communal prayer, and time for individual prayer and contemplation.

The retreat will officially begin at 10:00AM, with an optional morning Mass at 9:00AM.  Lunch will be provided at 12:00 Noon.

Jesus tells us “You are the light of the world. A city set on a mountain cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and then put it under a bushel basket; it is set on a lampstand, where it gives light to all in the house. Just so, your light must shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your heavenly Father.” (Matthew 5:14-16)

St. Catherine of Siena declared “Be who God wants you to be and you will set the world afire.”

God is calling women from every path of life to be a light in the darkness and to recognize the amazing power love has over sin and death through the saving action of Jesus’ death and Resurrection.

I invite you to and join me as we spend a weekend together drawing upon the wisdom of Godly women in Scripture and in our Saints. We will find practical ways to break through the darkness that so often surrounds us. Come and join me as we “Go Light Our World”.
