Driving Directions 

Special Education Advocacy Training 

This hands-on training session will focus on: 

  • The key components of an IEP or 504 Plan and what they mean
  • How to respond to and document comments made during meetings or conversations
  • What timelines the school and county should be following
  • How to know if an IEP or 504 Plan is being followed as written
  • What to do if services or accommodations/modifications are not being provided
  • What to do if you do not agree with the school or county’s approach
  • Small group discussions about current IEPs or 504 Plans  
    (please bring a copy of the most current plan and any other pertinent supporting documents)
