Christopher Thornton, EA E Tax Services LLC
Christopher V. Thornton (Chris) is an Enrolled Agent/Tax Professional with over ten years' experience. He specializes in individual and small business tax return preparation, advice, tax planning and problem resolution. Chris also consults in entity classifications when forming a new business (Sole Proprietorships, Partnerships, LLCs, S-Corporations and C-Corporations).
Prior to opening his own tax business, Chris worked for H&R Block preparing individual and small business tax returns. Chris also spent 22 years as a Vice President/Department Head at Merrill Lynch working in their technology area focusing on management and accounting information systems.
Chris holds an MBA in Finance and Accounting from Adelphi University. Chris recently passed his CPA exam and is finishing his field requirements for his CPA license. Chris is also a certified 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 QuickBooks Pro Advisor.
Chris has been an Enrolled Agent (EA) since 2004. He currently serves as a Director and past President of the New Jersey Association of Enrolled Agents (NJSEA).
Robert O'Neill, CPA, JD H&R Block
Robert O’Neill is a Master Tax Advisor with H&R Block. He has been with the firm for 21 years, preparing both individual and business returns in one of the busiest H&R Block offices on the East Coast, and teaching many of the advanced H&R Block Courses, including an Enrolled Agent prep course. He earned his CPA in 1972, his JD from Temple University Law School in 1982 and his LLM (Master in Taxation) in 1986.
Robert has spent more than 30 years involved in various aspects of taxation. He worked as a Financial Auditor with Haskins & Sells (a “Big Eight” accounting firm) in Philadelphia, Pa. After receiving a CPA and JD, he worked in the tax department of IU International, handling IRS audits and other tax matters for that firm. While at I U International, he received his Masters in Taxation and started teaching Accounting courses and Federal Income Taxation courses at La Salle University.
He is a graduate of La Salle University in Philadelphia with a B.S. in Accounting. While at La Salle he joined ROTC and, after graduation, served as an Army Artillery Officer during the Vietnam War.
