The Employment First Meet at the Mountain III - Time to Climb!

The Oregon Employment First 2015 Meet at the Mountain will be held at the Riverhouse Hotel and Convention Center in Bend on April 9 &10.

The event begins at 2:00 p.m. April 9 and ends at 4:00 p.m. April 10.

Cost:  $30 (for registration and meals, see below)

Please join us at this unique Employment First event designed to increase the knowledge, skills and capacity of people and local communities to more successfully support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in obtaining and maintaining competitive integrated jobs that match their individual choice, strengths and interests. There will be a focus on local Employment First teams and community capacity and collaboration building.  The event will offer participants opportunities to network, receive innovative training and gather new tools to take home and apply.  All Stakeholders are welcome including people new to the Supported Employment field, direct service providers, managers and supervisors, state staff, self-advocates and families, teachers and school personnel, employers and other community members interested in joining the effort.

Noon-1:00 p.m.   Lunch
1:00-1:30 p.m.    Updates from State Leadership
1:30-3:00 p.m.    Workgroup Sessions
3:30-4:00 p.m.    Closing

Note:  Included in the registration for this event is participation in the event, dinner on April 9, and breakfast and lunch on April 10.  You must book and pay for your hotel reservations, and other meals, separately from this registration.   Please contact the Riverhouse Hotel at        (541) 389-3111 to reserve your room(s). Be sure to let them know you are a member of Meet at the Mountain and require a per diem rate. There is a similar block of rooms across the street at the Bend Inn & Suites, (540) 388-4114.  

The planning for this event is a collaborative effort between the Oregon Employment First Office, Oregon Developmental Disabilities Services, Oregon Vocational Rehabilitation Services, Oregon Department of Education, Oregon Rehabilitation Association, the Central Oregon Employment First Team, and the Washington Initiative for Supported Employment.
