Charles Bozonier - Facilitation Skills for Business Analysts  

Have you ever wanted to lead a team building exercise, but weren't sure you had to skills to be successful?

Participate in and observe a live facilitated team exercise designed to bring a group of individuals together and optimize their performance.

Learn to lead a group in a successful team building exercise by learning the focusing stage of the facilitating cycle including:

  • warming up your group
  • using check points - review, preview and big view
  • delivering accurate, clear and concise directions - Purpose (example), Directions (exceptions), Questions (starting question).
  • reporting results and feedback

Team building exercises can be effective in building cohesive groups and rewards behavior that optimize productivity. Organizations want team leaders who can bring the best out of their teams and learning how to lead a team building exercise is essential if the exercise is going to be effective.

Charles Bozonier is a Senior Business Analyst with Point B Management Consultants. He has instructed Business Analysis courses at UW PCE Business Analysis certificate program for 5 years and is contributing writer of the IIBA BABOK, version 3 and the IIBA text "Managing Business Analysts". He became a Certified Business Analyst Professional in 2008
