Small Business August Guest Speaker:

Jim Kyger is the Assistant Vice President of Human Relations for Printing Industries of America.  His primary responsibilities include publication development and responding to member inquiries on human and industrial relations, compensation, health care compliance, and other benefits issues.  Jim also administers the Best Workplace in the Americas and the Employee Recognition Programs. In 2008 Jim became a management trustee on the GCC/IBT National Pension Fund, a union pension plan for the printing industry.

 Jim first joined PIA in 1988 and left in 1997 to work at ADP, and then at New Horizons Computer Learning Centers.  Jim returned to the association in 2000. 

 Jim is recognized as a:

  • Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR)
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)
  • Certified Benefits Professional (CBP)

The Purpose of the Small Business Virtual Peer group is a to share business practices and learn from other firms of similar size ($5 million or less). A monthly conference call, facilitated by President David Radziej, will feature new topics each month with industry experts joining us, covering suggested topics such as marketing, sales growth, mergers and personal issues. 

 

The Process of the Small Business Virtual Peer Group includes being invited to this peer group.  If you sign up you will receive a list of everyone who is registered.  You will have time to prepare discussion questions for your peers.  Topics will be selected by the peer group.  The conference call will last one-hour.  

 

This meeting will be facilitated by President of PIM, David Radziej.  David will be joined by Jim Kyger the Assistant Vice President of Human Relations for Printing Industries of America.  Jim will provide an HR Update and the group can bring your questions on HR issues.
