Decorative Glass

This presentation will inform attendees on how decorative glass can be utilized in almost any interior or exterior building application. During the course of the presentation, real project images will be used to discuss pertinent regulations, specifications, products, installation methods, and other design and project considerations.

Learning objectives:

  • Discuss the safety regulations and considerations for decorative glass
  • Explain the structural and glazing considerations for decorative glass
  • Understand the various interior and exterior decorative glass applications.
  • Understand the various manners in which decorative glass can be supported.
  • Discover the numerous decorative glass products.
  • Highlight key project and design principles and lessons learned regarding decorative glass


Igor F. Beaufils, North American Sales Manager for Specialty Architectural Products (SAP)

Igor spent eight years in the U.S. Air Force as a captain in charge of system acquisition. He has a MS degree in Industrial Engineering from New Mexico State University. He has worked for such companies as OmniSource Corp., Owens, and Vitec, LLC. He also has a BS degree in General Engineering/ Management Specialization from the U.S. Air Force Academy.  

SAP, LLC specializes in providing value added products to the construction industry. They specializes in decorative glass, glass flooring, suspension wall systems, glass balustrades, exterior cladding, sunscreens, fire-rated glass, curtian wall infill. SAP has territories in OH, MI, IL, IN, KY, and Ontario. They have over 20 years of experience in product development and marketing. They have averaged $1.25 million in decorative glass sales over the last eight years.
