Narrowing the Gap: Reducing income inequality in the Puget Sound Region

While the Puget Sound region is thriving, the prosperity generated by our vibrant economy is not shared by all. Our historically robust middle class is steadily shrinking, as income is increasingly concentrated among the wealthy. Expert panelists, including representatives from local government, business and labor organizations, will identify specific, collaborative solutions to promote more equitable economic opportunity in our region.

Panelists will include:

  • Joanne Goldstein, Associate Vice President for Workforce Development and Employer Engagement, Northeastern University, and Former Secretary of Labor and Workforce Development for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
  • Carrie Cihak, Chief of Policy Development, King County Executive Office
  • Dave Freiboth, Executive Secretary, Martin Luther King County Labor Council

Sponsored by Northeastern University-Seattle, King County, the Workforce Development Council of Seattle-King County, and Seattle Goodwill.

Parking information and directions can be found here.
