About the Teacher
Leslie Roste, RN, BSN graduated from the University of Kansas, where she studied Nursing and Microbiology. She worked in various nursing positions including Obstetrical Nursing and Infection Control in the Kansas City area, prior to beginning work in the cosmetology industry. She has written many articles and spoken to audiences, large and small, on Infection Control in the work environment and specializes in the salon and spa industry. She is very involved with promoting the need for occupational licensing to protect consumer health and safety and is currently employed by King Research - Manufacturers of BARBICIDE - as their National Director of Education and Business Development. In the past 5 years, she has spent a tremendous amount of time working with state boards on development of infection control consistent with current science and occupational trends. She writes science content for Milady textbooks and is working with NIC to re-write the disinfection standards.
