SHINE is for women of all ages to connect to our great God and to others through worship, prayer, fellowship, and life-changing truths from God. This year's event features inspirational author and speaker, Elisa Morgan and musical guest, Sherilyn.
Elisa Morgan was named by Christianity Today as one of the top fifty women influencing today’s church and culture and is one of today’s most sought-after authors, speakers, and leaders. She has authored over fifteen books on mothering, spiritual formation, and evangelism, including She Did What She Could: Five Words of Jesus That Will Change Your Life, the NIV Mom’s Devotional Bible and most recently, The Beauty of Broken: My Story and Likely Yours Too.
She currently serves as co-host of the nationally syndicated daily radio program Discover the Word.
For twenty years, Elisa Morgan served as CEO of MOPS International. Under her leadership MOPS grew from 350 to over 4,000 groups throughout the United States and in thirty other countries, influencing over 100,000 moms every year. Elisa now serves as President Emerita. Elisa received a BS from the University of Texas and an MDiv from Denver Seminary. She served as the dean of women of Western Bible College (now Colorado Christian University) and on the board of ECFA (Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability). Currently she serves on the board of Denver Seminary.
As the publisher of FullFill, a free digital magazine for women of all ages, stages, and callings, her current mission is to mobilize women to invest their influence in God’s purposes.
For 34 plus years, Elisa has been married to Evan (senior vice president of global ministry efforts for RBC Ministries) and has two grown children and one grandchild who live near her in Denver, Colorado. At the moment, her favorite thing to do is to walk her enormous Rottweilers, Wilson and Darla, in the free space behind her house. If you were watching, you wouldn’t know for sure just “who” is walking “who.”

Often referred to as "the girl with the voice on those Vineyard records," Sherilyn has been leading worship and recording music for nearly 17 years. Having had numerous songs published by Vineyard Music and Varietal Records in the last decade, her most popular solo album, "Fearless Now," was produced by Nathan Nockels and named one of the "Top 10 Picks of the Year" by Christianity Today.
After walking through some storms in her personal life (including her mom's battle with cancer), Sherilyn took some time off from full-time ministry from 2009 to 2011. She then spent a few years writing & recording songs about her trials & experiences, releasing two EP's of her artistic endeavors - "Weathered" and "Beautiful New."
Atlanta was home-base from 2006 to 2013 until she left to serve as a missionary in Italy & Brazil. She spent 5 months overseas leading worship, teaching music, and training worship leaders prior to relocating to the Central Coast of California this year. She currently serves as Worship Director for Mountainbrook Church in San Luis Obispo. Sherilyn's latest release is a collection of her songs past & present, called "Found In You."
When not doing musical things, you can often find Sherilyn out walking on the beach, swing dancing, or instagramming.
