This one hour session will explore the different ways of setting up your business, either as a sole proprietorship, partnership, corporation or LLC and the advantages and disadvantages of each.
We will also discuss the rules and regulations for running your business…what do you REALLY need to know. Lastly, we will take the mystique out of business insurance, including workers compensation, fire and liability.

How to Legally Operate Your Houston-Based Business
The City of Houston’s Business Solutions Center (HBSC) will discuss specific business operating requirements, DBA’s, State Sales Tax Permits, Federal Taxpayer ID Numbers, appraisal of business personal property (rendition), financing options, deed restrictions, the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act, City contracting basics and the Hire Houston First and Liftoff Houston programs.
