California PLTW - Stepping Stones to Building Career Pathways for Students!

This two-day conference will provide attendees an opportunity to learn about the latest updates for PLTW and connect with PLTW teachers, counselors, administrators, and business and industry supporters from throughout the state of California.

This year’s conference program will include information regarding the PLTW elementary LAUNCH, middle school GATEWAY, high school BIOMEDICAL SCIENCE, ENGINEERING and COMPUTER SCIENCE pathways/curriculums, as well as updates and best practices.  Curricular connections with the Common Core State Standards, College and Career Readiness, and Next Generation Science Standards will also be a part of this exciting program!

This conference is for current and/or interested elementary, middle and high school counselors, teachers, administrators and employer partners to gain information about the Project Lead The Way programs and how they prepare a diverse student population for professional careers in science, technology, engineering and math.

Convergence, Northern California's only ongoing forum showcasing the issues that intersect education, workforce development and the economy is included in the program.  The event focus, PLTW and Pathways ... Driving Innovation in Education will be featuring the following speakers:

Honorable Toni Atkins, Speaker of the Assembly, Lupe Cortez Alcala (invited), Deputy Superintendent CDE, Ron Way, Dean Emeritus, El Camino College and Chip Yates, Innovator and Rock Star of Science.

Individual Conference Registration: $275.00 by Feb. 2, 2015.  $300.00 after Feb. 2, 2015.  $350.00 after Feb. 13, 2015.

This fee includes a box lunch and snack (Thursday afternoon), Cocktail Reception (Thursday evening), and breakfast and lunch (Friday).

Hotel reservations are being offered at the discounted rate of $149 per room / per night (~$180 with applicable taxes). If you are planning to make a hotel reservation, you must first register for the conference and then make your hotel reservation. Once you complete the conference registration by clicking the "Register Now" button at the bottom of this page, a link to the hotel registration website will be included in your confirmation email.
