Managing Career, Organizational & Life Change Using Type

Presented By

Judy MacLaren (ESFP)

Join us from 9:00 - 9:30 a.m. for refreshments and networking.

Members may bring first-time guests at no charge.

  RESERVE EARLY!

Seasons cycle. Organizations have life cycles. People move through career and life transitions. The one thing that is constant is change. In what work or career situations do you welcome change? In what situations do you avoid change? How have you experienced change - whether it be planned, unexpected, good, or bad? How has an understanding of type helped you?

Judy will facilitate a fun, interactive presentation.  She will guide us through evaluating our own personal experiences with change by:

  • Exploring change models, such as Bridges' Transition Model and Lee Hecht Harrison's Behavior-Based Change Model.
  • Discussing change in the context of type dynamics, such as the relationship between change and the inferior function.
  • Applying the models to our current careers, organizational, or life changes.

By the end of the exploration, we will understand how other types go through change, and we will have tips to manage transitions in our own lives.

All levels of type learners are welcome.

If you are interested in reference material, the following are excellent choices for Judy's presentation:

  • Introduction to Type and Change, by Nancy J. Barger and Linda K. Kirby
  • Understanding Yourself and Others - An Introduction to the Personality Type Code, by Linda V. Berens and Dario Nardi
  • In the Grip, Understanding Type, Stress, and the Inferior Function, by Naomi Quenk
  • Transitions - Making Sense of Life's Changes, by William Bridges
