2015 IACUC Regional Education Conference
Beyond the Mouse Cage: Human Health in Motion

We are all connected; To each other, biologically.  To the earth, chemically. To the rest of the universe, atomically. - Neil deGrass Tyson

Animal research has contributed to many of the medical successes in human health.  It’s increasingly evident that the well-being of animals, our own health and the health of the planet are interconnected.  NWABR and the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) Conference Planning Committee invites you to join your Northwest peers for a day of informative presentations, interactive small group discussion, productive networking, and best practice highlight of ethical conduct.

Post Conference Activity: Bridging the Gap
Following the Conference on the morning of February 24th NWABR in partnership with the University of Washington Office of Animal Welfare will offer a half-day limited-space (16 attendees) behind-the-scenes look at the various components of their animal care and use program, as well as a guided tour/mock IACUC inspection of their state-of-the-art zebrafish facilities.  Invitations will be for attendees and/or members only, and on a first-come basis. Our goal is to strengthen IACUC administrative relationships throughout Puget Sound. Let us know if you have interest ASAP at conferences@nwabr.org
