Building a Business Website (Marin)

Description:

Using WordPress, the leading content management system, you will create a professional website for your business. The class focuses on how to use WordPress to create an effective website for your business.

Attendees will:

Build a standard 5 page website
Learn how to load text and images, plus extend the site beyond the basics
Have the option to take the site live

Attendees should have an intermediate knowledge of using a web browser. Attendees will also have the option to purchase a domain name and one year of hosting at the end of the class.

Date and Cost:

This is a 3- Session Workshop that will meet on Thursday, January 15, 22, and February 5th from 6pm- 9pm.

Total cost: $45-$90*

*Class price on a sliding scale based on income. The scale is based on the HUD guidelines; require an application and income verification.

Instructor: Mark Brassey

As the head of Marketing and Sales for Sundial Hosting, Mark has brought his 25 years of experience in using technology to help build communities. Originally from a small town in Idaho, Mark learned the power of communities first hand. After completing graduate school, Mark started his high technology career working for one of the early cellular phone providers. Through the next ten organizations, Mark has continued to refine his vision that technology can bring communities together and help local businesses promote to local customers.
