Registration now open for Winter 2015 Classes at CREATIVE ARTS!

PLEASE NOTE: Online registration using a credit card DOES include a credit card fee. To avoid this fee, you will need to register using this form and paying by check/cash or by using the "Register Now!" button, selecting the "pay by check" option, and mailing us a check.

Prices below are the check/cash tuition rates. When you move to the registration screen it will list the credit card prices (approx. $5-$10 more per class). If you register but choose to pay by check or cash please make sure you refer back to the check/cash tuition rates and not the credit card rate that is sent to you as a confirmation from that registration page.

THEATRE ARTS, Ages 4-12:

NEW! Broadway Bound JR: Acting, Ages 4-6

Join us for our newest acting program Broadway Bound Jr.: Acting. This class is for students who would like to develop their acting skills in a supportive and exciting atmosphere, while learning about all their favorite Broadway shows!

Dates: 9 Tuesdays, Jan 20-Mar 24 (No 2/17)

Time: 4:00-5:00pm; $155/$145sibling; Instructor: Bobby Imperato

Imaginative Acting, Ages 5-7 - THIS CLASS IS FULL

Acting begins with imagination! Learn theatre skills through games, improvisation, role-playing, and following a script. The course culminates in a collaborative show created with music, dance, acting, and imagination!

Dates: 9 Wednesdays, Jan 21-Mar 25 (No class Feb 18)

Act 1 for Beginning Actors, Ages 7-10
What does it take to become an actor? In this course students will learn the principles of stage acting through games, scenes, and a short play. A wonderful introduction to theatre!

Dates: 8 Mondays, Jan 26-Mar 23 (No 2/16)

NEW! Superheroes!, Ages 7-11

Ever wonder what it was like to leap tall buildings in single bound? Did you ever wish you had x-ray vision or powers of invisibility? If yes, then this class is for you. Come create your own one-of-a-kind Superhero in this exciting new acting class. Through dynamic storytelling, vocal work and imagination we will create or own exciting and fun characters.

Act 2 for Intermediate Actors, Ages 8-12

Improve acting skills by exploring character study, improv, comedy, pantomime, analyzing a script, and the audition process. A great next step after taking our Act 1 class.

THEATRE ARTS - Teens

Act 3 for Advanced Actors, Ages 13+

Take your acting to the next level in this advanced class. Learn to create characters of depth and substance as well as analyzing a script. Act 2 class required, or previous acting experience.

An acting class just for teens! Learn how to improv, create a character and work with a script. All levels welcome.

CLASSES FOR ADULTS

NEW! Acting for Adults

Creativity is a muscle, so come workout with us! Improv classes can be fun and help you with public speaking, creative thinking, and observation and listening skills. This class is geared towards the beginner and intermediate student. We will work as a team on the basic improv skills, and short form games you may have seen in “Whose Line is it Anyway?” Most importantly, we will have fun!

Dates: 8 Mondays, Jan 26-Mar 23 (No class Feb 16)

Time: 6:00-7:30pm; $150; Instructor: Bobby Imperato

 

Free-Write Class

Work on your writing in a respectful, supportive environment. We will use writing prompts as a jumping off point, write freely, and then share our work. Open to writers of any or no experience, all genres. Bring your notebook or laptop and join us.
