PLEASE NOTE: Online registration using a credit card DOES include a credit card fee. To avoid this fee, you will need to register using this form and paying by check/cash or by using the "Register Now!" button, selecting the "pay by check" option, and mailing us a check.

Prices below are the check/cash tuition rates. When you move to the registration screen it will list the credit card prices (approx. $5-$10 more per class). If you register but choose to pay by check or cash please make sure you refer back to the check/cash tuition rates and not the credit card rate that is sent to you as a confirmation from that registration page.

VISUAL ARTS: Ages 3-17

Young Artists: Mixed Bag Media, Ages 3-6

Through imagination and observation, students will explore different media, techniques and artists while creating unique projects, building sculptures and painting masterpieces.

Storybook Art, Ages 3-6

Children will explore their creativity with hands-on art activities based on their favorite storybooks. Participants will find inspiration through popular children’s books, fairytales, and classic literature.

NEW! Art Around the World; Ages 4-7

Grab you passport and get ready for an adventure. We will be exploring art and culture from all over the globe. Each art project will incorporate inspiration from different countries such as; China, Africa, India and more.

Crazy Cartooning, Ages 7-12

Have fun sketching out your cartoons, learning about facial expressions, how to create movement, storyboards & more before creating your final cartoon.

Painting Studio: Mixed Media, Ages 7-12

Break free from the traditional painting techniques and explore new art forms with mixed media. You’ll sharpen your painting skills while mixing in new techniques using collage papers, pastels, crayons, sand, and more. All skill levels welcome!

Inventions in Woodworking, Ages 7-12

How will you make wood work for you? Use your creativity to invent things using wood as an art form. The perfect class for those “engineering” minds and those who like to see projects through from sketches to finished project.

NEW! Monsters & Mayhem-Claymation, Ages 8-12

Have you ever wanted to create your own 3D sets, lighting, characters and animation? Here’s your chance to be the director, set designer, script writer, and cinematographer all in one. Develop your own production from storyboard concept through the completed animation. We will be using modeling clay to create characters for the stories, design back-drops, and take digital photos to animate them. Students will download free editing tools onto their own Ipods/ Ipads/ Kindles/ Nooks to work on their super fun animations in class!

Pottery, Ages 8-14

Get your hands messy with this fun filled pottery class! Learn to create exciting clay forms with basic methods of hand building: coiling, pinching, and slab work. Make a variety of bowls, dishes, containers, and sculptural art pieces.

Minecraft-Claymation, Ages 10-15

NEW! Fashion, Fiber Arts & Accessories, Ages 13+

Create art from all things fabric, felt and string! In this class we will learn to transform fibers into amazing pieces of art and fun accessories too! Explore hand stitching, tie dying, embroidery, weaving, and more. Projects may include stuffed felt critters, yarn art, t-shirts and totes.

Painting: Exploring Color

Enjoy a great social evening while building your observational painting skills by learning the impact that light has on color, form and spatial relationships. Find inspiration in new styles and ideas. All skill levels welcome!

Stained Glass: Add Color to Your Life!

Learn to design, cut, solder, and finish glass projects at your own pace. This course is for beginning, intermediate and advanced students. Course cost does not include specific project materials, which may be purchased from the instructor at the 2nd class; materials will run approximately $35 to complete a project.

Art Exploration

Experiment with different materials, mediums and approaches to visual art while learning about various artists and art theory. Bring a sack lunch or snack (tea/coffee provided). All skill levels welcome.

SPECIAL WORKSHOPS & EVENTS

Painting on Canvas at Bertucci’s, Adults

Create your own piece of art in a social and supportive environment. No experience necessary. All painting supplies included. Note: the workshop will be held at Bertucci’s of Reading and will include appetizers. Additional food and beverages may be purchased.

Beyond Drawing, Ages 6-12

Students will explore drawing through the use of different materials and methods. Explore how exercises with everyday objects can strengthen your understanding of line, space and composition. Using sticks, rocks and hands students will create masterpieces with wire, ink and paper.
