19th Annual Mountain Spelling Bee 

The Mountain Spelling Bee is a zany, adult spelling competition and The Literacy Center’s primary fundraiser.

At the Bee, teams of three adults (with one Designated Speller each) compete to spell the hardest words in the English language. Outlandish words, dinner, cash bar, silent auction and lots of audience participation spell …

The 2015 Bee Registration will be online this year. Please call 928-556-0313 and speak to a TLC staff member or leave a message if you need assistance.

On our new registration form, you can register yourself and your party as dinner guests, sign up to have a team, purchase word pass coupons, or sponsor the event.

In order to purchase from a variety of fee categories, you may need to complete this form more than once.

You don't have to attend to support The Literacy Center's biggest fundraiser of the year. Contact TLC staff about sponsoring the event, donating to our silent auction, or purchasing a dinner for a learner, volunteer, or staff member.

At the Bee

Guests are encouraged to watch the competition and join in the fun!

You don't have to be on a spelling team to get involved. Dinner guests have a blast playing audience participation games, bidding on silent auction items, eating a fantastic dinner, and of course, cheering on their favorite teams!

Compete in "Heads or Tails" or "Audience Spell" against the other dinner guests for a chance to win great prizes.
