About the Instructor: Jon Dann
Eager to exploit growing opportunities in documentary production, Jonathan Dann founded Jon Dann Communications. His new endeavor broadens a successful career in broadcasting to include new delivery platforms for digital storytelling. HIs company portfolio includes video profiles of corporations, nonprofits, and others.
During his 30-year broadcast career, which includes a lengthy stint as a staff producer for NBC’s DATELINE, Dann received the most respected awards in broadcast journalism, including three Peabody Awards, three duPont-Columbia Awards, and a Certificate of Special Merit from the Academy Awards. He won his third duPont-Columbia Award for producing the PBS special "War Stories from Ward #7D", which followed the struggles of Iraq War veterans suffering from traumatic brain injury. In 2011, he was a finalist for a Gerald Loeb Award for financial reporting.
