2015 West Virginia IDPA Championship 

When / Where:

This will be a Tier Three Sanctioned IDPA State Championship Match featuring 12 challenging stages on Peacemaker’s natural terrain with a variety of props, including movers, a boat and a vehicle. Awards will be per IDPA rules. The minimum round count is estimated at 152 rounds.  Bring at least 200 rounds. 

There will a choice of 3 relays: You will shoot this entire match in one relay! 

Relay 2: Saturday June 13 (Match check in commences at 7AM; shooter briefing at 8AM; first shots at 8:15 AM)

Relay 3: Saturday June 13 (Match check in commences at 12:15 PM; shooter briefing at 1:15 PM; first shots at 1:30 PM)

Relay 4: Sunday June 14 (Match check in commences at 9 AM; shooter briefing at 10 AM; first shots at 10:15 AM)

Relay 1: Friday June 12 (staff only).  Staff must check in by 11:30 AM.

Match Check In:  will be at Peacemaker National Training Center HQ Building: 1624 Brannon’s Ford Rd. Gerrardstown WV.  You must check in at least 30 minutes before the time of the shooter briefing.  The actual location is in Glengary WV (which is just west of Gerrardstown).   Match Staff Option & Fees:

  • If you are a certified IDPA SO, and want to work the match either running or assisting with running stages, you may select the appropriate option below and will be notified if you are accepted as an official match SO and or match volunteer.  If accepted you will receive a FREE Match Registration, Shoot the match on Friday June 12th and recieve $50 upon arrival on staff shoot day to assist with travel & food. Match officials reserve the right to interview and or disallow match staff. The match staff per diem will be distributed on June 13th 2015.  All match staff by registering agrees to complete their duties as match staff which end after the conclusion of the overall match on Sunday June 14th 2015. To register as match staff please register by selecting the appropriate "Match Staff" option.

Match Directors, Staff Leaders & Key Match Contibutors:

  • CSO's, PSO's, and SSO's will be on each stage and come from the WV, PA, VA, and MD areas. 

Equipment and Ammo

  • An equipment inspection is required and chronographing of your match ammunition. Please check that your gun meets the rules before you arrive at the match. 
  • Minimum Ammo – 200 rounds
  • 1 Semi-Automatic or Revolver Handgun
  • 1 High Quality Holster with Belt
  • MINIMUM 4 High Quality Magazines
  • 2 High Quality Magazine Pouches
  • 1 Concealment Garment or Vest
  • Hearing & Eye Protection
  • Baseball cap
  • Range bag

Range Safety Rules

  • Please keep your firearms UNLOADED and CASED upon arrival.
  • Please bring your CASED and UNLOADED firearms to the “Safe Area” which will be located on the PNTC Match ranges.   NO AMMO is allowed in the “Safe Area!”
  • Ammo may be handled outside the “Safe Area.” Firearms may not be unholstered or loaded until on the line and under direction of a PNTC and or Match Safety Officer.
  • Once in the “Safe Area” you may uncase and holster your UNLOADED firearm. Please keep your magazine out of your handgun, and DO NOT remove your firearm from your holster or attempt to load until on the firing line when instructed to do so by a PNTC Range Officer.
  • DO NOT handle firearms at your vehicles. Use the “Safe Areas” to case and uncase and or repair firearms.
  • Failure to abide by these rules will result in a match disqualification.

Other Important Information:

1)    You must be: A current IDPA member to shoot this match : You must have shot a classifier in the division in which he or she will comete, within one year of the match.  You MUST ALSO BE AN IDPA MARKSMAN CLASS SHOOTER OR BETTER! THIS MATCH WILL NOT PERMIT NOVICE OR NON IDPA MEMBERS. The classifer requirement does NOT apply to master or distinguished master class IDPA shooters. 

2)    Your handgun and gear must qualify under IDPA rules

3)    All Shooters and spectators must report first and complete registration at PNTC HQ at least 30 minutes before the shooter meeting or pre-register at PNTC HQ on Friday June 12 from Noon-5PM.

4)    No minors under 10 years of age are permitted on the range either as shooters or spectators. All junior shooters must be accompanied by a parent at all times. 

5)    For those who need it, 9mm, 45, and 38 ammunition is available for sale at the range.

6)    DO NOT handle your firearms at your vehicle! Please go to a designated “Safe Area” to uncase, manipulate and or work on your firearm. 

Cancelation Policy 

Per PNTC policy we do not issue match refunds for any of our events with the exception of extreme weather, where PNTC cancels the match and at PNTC 's sole determination. There are NO match refunds for the 2015 West Virginia IDPA Championship.  PNTC may issue a match credit for future matches at PNTC's sole determination for extreme circumstances. Shooters may also transfer their match registration fee on a ONE time basis to another qualified shooter before May15th, 2015 and by contacting PNTC for approval at info@peacemakernational.com

Children:

Please no children under 10 years of age permitted as spectators or shooters! We will have special event days where children under will be permitted. Please do not bring a minor (other than a junior shooter properly registered) by yourself and shoot in the match. Minors must be under DIRECT SUPERVISON of a parent or legal guardian at ALL TIMES at PNTC. No junior Shooters under age 10. All junior shooters must remain with a parent and must show that they are able to be safe and have good conduct.
