Author of The Grasshopper Myth: Big Churches, Small Churches and the Small Thinking that Divides Us, founder of the blog, NewSmallChurch.com, and lead pastor of Cornerstone Christian Fellowship, Fountain Valley, CA. Karl's passion is neither to help pastors grow churches bigger or to settle for less. He believes small churches are not a problem, a virtue or an excuse. His heart is to help pastors of small churches find the resources to pastor their current church well, and to capitalize on the unique advantages that come with pastoring a small church. He also believes that big and small churches can and should work together more often, to the benefit of each other.
Guest Worship Leader: Joel Weldon
Prolific singer/songwriter/composer for over 20 years, Joel has written a diverse collection of mainstream Christian rock, story ballads and worship songs that have been used in churches, camps and crusades throughout the world. As a worship leader, consultant and trainer, Joel says it's all about calling God's people together, focusing their attention on the "One", showing them by example how its done, and then turning invisible. Joel and his associates have helped churches and worship teams with leadership, music, sound and all things technical. His O2 Worship Weekends offer specialized workshops to evaluate needs and provide vision plans.
