Speaker: Paul F. Morris, CFRE, Development Director at American Tinnitus Association

Paul has worked in fund development since 1994. Over his more than 20 year career his work has resulted in millions of dollars being raised and thousands of donors being engaged for a wide spectrum of not-for-profit organizations. He has led development efforts in direct health services, regional theatre, architectural preservation, and after-school education.

He is currently the Development Director for the American Tinnitus Association, located in Portland. Tinnitus, or ringing in the ears, is an incurable disease affecting roughly 45 million Americans (1 in 6). Paul oversees the organization’s charitable efforts to fund information and support for people living with Tinnitus today and funding cutting edge research that will lead to a cure in the future.

Paul regularly presents trainings related to fund development and marketing. His trainings span the spectrum of introductory sessions to more advanced work on annual funds, capital campaigns, and the intersection of fund development and marketing.

Paul has a commitment to giving back to the community and the profession. In his volunteer work he utilizes his background and expertise to help other not-for-profits develop their own sustainable and scalable fundraising programs. Paul also participates in his local professional association to advance excellence in fund raising.

Paul is one of only 5,200 individuals worldwide to hold the CFRE credential, awarded in 2000. He lives with his wife and daughter in Beaverton, Oregon.
