This workshop will explain the myths and realities on starting a nonprofit organization. The workshop will cover the legal requirements of filing for tax exempt status and will focus on the steps a new nonprofit can take to create a successful organization. You will learn:
- What are the federal and state requirements for creating a nonprofit organization
- How to get started in planning and launching a new nonprofit
- How to set up a basic administrative platform for your nonprofit
- Local resources available to help nonprofits
