The Western Iowa Regional Forum culminates the second stage of statewide outreach to raise awareness of the Iowa Afterschool Opportunities Directory (www.iowaafterschoolalliance.org/afterschool-programs). This event is designed to share data collected up to the date of the event and have discussions focused on next steps and telling the story of afterschool in Iowa. About the Iowa Afterschool Opportunities Directory: The Iowa Afterschool Opportunities Directory is a new service of the Iowa Afterschool Alliance to track data on afterschool in Iowa. Never before has this kind of warehouse existed in this field in our state. The directory collects critical mapping and operational data that will help the Iowa Afterschool Alliance and partners make decisions on policy and practice to move afterschool forward in Iowa. The public mapping feature accessible at www.iowaafterschoolalliance.org/afterschool-programs provides stakeholders information on what's available in their community.
