Agricultural Conservation Technical Training Basic Boot Camp 2015

TARGET AUDIENCE
Appropriate for newly hired Agricultural Conservation Technicians, (ACT), new NRCS field staff, new Nutrient Management Technicians, new Chesapeake Bay Technicians, new Watershed Specialists, and others with less than 1 year of  professional experience, or less than 3 years experience if employee did not attend a previously held Level I ACT training.

Attention NRCS employees: Do not submit SF182 until you receive confirmation that you are approved to attend this training. 

 COURSE CONTENT

FEES
Participant registration fees are waived.  Funding is provided through a Special Leadership Development Project Grant, sponsored by the Natural Resources Conservation Service and PA Department of Agriculture/State Conservation Commission.

LODGING
All participants may take advantage of the room block rate, but only conservation district staff will be reimbursed by PACD for their overnights.

Rate: $65.40 (includes tax) for 2 queen beds or 1 king  (single or double occupancy). You must ask for the "PACD Room Block" when making your reservation. The room block expires on March 13.

PACD will reimburse the conservation district (up to $70/person/day) for the lodging of those whose office is more than 45 miles away from Fort Indiantown Gap. Monday through Thursday evenings only.

The training itself will be held at the Keystone Conference Center at Fort Indiantown Gap.

MEALS
Morning break, lunch, and afternoon break will be provided. Breakfast and dinner will not be provided. A complimentary continental breakfast is available at the Best Western which includes: choice of breads, cereal, fruit, eggs, yogurt, juice and hot items.
