NAMM Music Education Advocacy D.C. Fly-In
May 18-21, 2015 Washington, D.C.

Join other NAMM Members for the NAMM Music Education Advocacy D.C. Fly-In, May 18 – 21, 2015.  The NAMM Music Education Advocacy D.C. Fly-In advances NAMM's core advocacy theme: music education and legislation that advances access to music education for all children. All Fly-In delegates will be asked to contact Members of Congress in the weeks prior to May 18 to schedule meetings with Representatives or their staff.

OPTIONAL Day of Service, Monday, May 18: the NAMM Music Education Advocacy D.C. Fly-In will feature an opportunity for NAMM Members to join together for a day of service at a school in Washington DC.  NAMM will celebrate and support the music education program in the local area. All NAMM Members participating in music learning activities are encouraged to consider an equipment or materials donation to the school; donations will be coordinated by NAMM Staff regarding shipment and delivery to the school.

Registration

Registration fee is non-refundable due to NAMM's liability fees for room block and banquet guarantees. Please provide your nine (9) digit zip code(s) for home and/or business to determine congressional contacts.

Housing

As a Fly-In delegate, NAMM provides up to four (4) nights hotel accommodations;  4 nights if you arrive on Sunday, May 17 and participate in the “day of service” on Monday, May 18 – or 3 nights if you arrive on Monday, May 18 for regular Fly-in activities. NAMM also provides regular meals through breakfast on May 21. Fly-In participants are responsible for round-trip travel to Washington and ground transportation to/from the hotel. As you know, hotel and meal costs in Washington are among the highest nationally and a $400 per person registration fee is requested. Should you not need a hotel room or a family member/guest will be traveling with you, $200 per person is requested to help cover the cost of meals. Please see note below concerning family members/guests. The Advocacy D.C.  Fly-In Headquarter hotel is the Liaison Capitol Hill.

A note about family members/guests:

  • The Fly-In is a music industry business event. Family members or guests may share a hotel room with you, if desired. We request your individual participation in the issue briefing on Tuesday and Congressional visits on Wednesday and Thursday.
  • Family members or guests may join you for breakfast each day and dinners on Monday, and Wednesday.
