AFP Maryland Host Chapter Event

  CHARMS OF THE CITY will be a spectacular evening of fun to kick off the 2015 AFP International Conference! Presented by CCS with the  venue provided through the generosity of the Maryland Science  Center, the event is a wonderful way to catch up with friends and colleagues and welcome visitors from around the globe to Baltimore.

The Science Center is closing its doors to the general public so that International Fundraising Conference attendees and local fundraisers can explore the museum and get a look at the extraordinary exhibits while networking with fundraisers from around the globe!

Imagine sipping cocktails with colleagues at the edge of the waterfront as you look out on the Baltimore skyline over the Inner Harbor; then enjoying light fare as dinosaurs loom overhead; and finally, mingling with the stars as you enjoy the stunning view from the Harbor Terrace Bar. A special IMAX presentation “Anthem of Liberty” will be shown to guests that evening. The Maryland Science Center offers a truly unique atmosphere in more than 100,000 square feet of space.

Parking: Several public parking lots and pay spaces on Light Street and Key Highway are within walking distance of the Science Center. Metered spaces along Light Street and Key Highway are also available. Lots include the Arrow Parking Garage, located at 11 E. Lee Street between Light Street and Charles Street, across the street from the Science Center and the 30 E Lee St garage, across the street from the Science Center at the Royal Sonesta hotel.

Guests should use the main entrance facing the Inner Harbor. Please stop at the AFP Maryland check-in desk to pick up your name tag.
