Course Overview    

- Students Must Be 21 Years Of Age To Take This Course

In this second level Peacemaker Defensive Handgun Course. The “World Class” defensive training continues. Meant more the moderately experienced to intermediate level shooter, Peacemaker will build onto the Intro level Defensive Handgun course by focusing on the Defensive Mindset necessary Handgun techniques. Note: As long as you meet the below pre-requisites you do may take this course without taking the initial  “PNTC Introduction To Defense Handgun Course.”

This specific course like the intro course focuses on two key skills, “Defensive Mindset” & “Defensive Technique.” However, in this course the quality of the advanced Peacemaker tactical ranges comes into play. You’ll experience even more realistic Defensive scenarios which will test your skills, advance your real world handgun skills deepen your understanding of critical defensive survival skills.  You’ll also learn invaluable skills for engaging moving/attacking targets, and skills close quarters shooting under stress.

Like all defensive classes at Peacemaker this is no “normal day” on the range.  You should fully expect this course to challenge your views forever on personal defense and greatly enhance your defensive shooting skills.  Whether you are a competition shooter, former military or recreational civilian shooter, this course will dramatically impact how you think, prepare and practice for self defense with a handgun.

 

Cost

Intermediate Defensive Handgun  = $125 Member & $150 Non-members

No rentals – Students must have their own firearm & gear

 

Prerequisite 

  1. Meet ONE or MORE of the Following Criteria
    • Previously Passed PNTC CCW or Basic Handgun Courses or passed equivalent courses from other qualified instructors or institutions
    • Are qualified Law Enforcement or former Law Enforcement, qualified military or former military with handgun training
    •  Participated in IDPA, USPSA, NRA Action Pistol competitions
  2. By registering for this course student accepts all of the following
    • Must be able to safely draw from a holster and properly handle a handgun
    • All students agree that all information taught will be used for  legal defensive or legal recreational purposes only
    • Students MUST have solid, safe handgun marksmanship skills. Student must also accept that this course will not cover in great detail handgun marksmanship basics
    • Student accepts that upon enrolling, PNTC reserves the right to remove students without refund for unsafe, rude or unusual behavior or in the event that students are unable to reasonably carry out training and or live fire.
    • Student confirms that they are not a convicted felon and are lawfully permitted to use and own legal firearms under the United States Constitution

 

Intermediate Defensive Handgun equipment required

Students will need a minimum of 100 factory manufactured rounds of ammunition to complete live fire part of this course.

Safety Language

  1. Please ensure that your firearm is UNLOAED and cased prior to arriving at PNTC. Please leave your training firearm cased and in your vehicle upon arrival. We will tell you when its time to get your firearm.
  2. Please do not bring a “concealed carry” firearm into the training room.  No ammunition or loaded firearms of any kind are permitted in the training room.

 

PNTC  Staff/Instructors reserve the right to the determination of the successful or unsuccessful completion of the course of the individual student based on, but not limited to, safety, attitude and/or overall skill development.
