Kopan Vermont: Beat the Heat Lam Rim Retreat with Geshe Konchog and Jacie Keeley

Join us for a 5 day Lam Rim course modeled after the famous November course at Kopan Monastery in Nepal.  The Lam Rim is the said to be the graduated path to enlightenment, compiling all of the Buddha’s teachings into an easy to understand step by step path. We will examine the Buddhist path to happiness and how to put it into practice. Topics to be covered include, the nature of the mind, meditation, suffering and its causes, cause and effect, the nature of reality, and of course, how to be truly happy.

We never charge for the Dharma. However, we need to be practical. Milarepa Center is a 501c3 non-profit. We operate on donations and have expenses that need to be covered. Thank you for understanding. If you need financial assistance, please contact us to learn about work-exchange options for retreats. They are on an as-need basis and a first come first serve basis.

Should you need to cancel or cut short your stay, our refund policy is:

7 days prior to arrival: No Refund
8 – 14 days prior to arrival: 50% cancellation service; 50% Milarepa Center credit
15- 30 days prior to arrival: 25% cancellation service; 75% refunded
31 days prior to arrival: 15% cancellation service; 85% refunded

About Geshe Konchog

Geshe Konchog graduated from Sera Je Monastic University with his Geshe degree in 1993. In 2000, Lama Zopa Rinpoche appointed Geshe Konchog as the resident teacher of Tubten Kunga Center in Deerfield Beach, Florida. Geshe Konchog is fluent in English and has a clear understanding of the Western mind. www.TubtenKunga.org

About Jacie Keeley
Jacie Keeley met Lama Zopa and Lama Yeshe as a young girl in the early 70s. She was influential in establishing the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition with Lama Yeshe, Lama Zopa and other early Western students. Jacie was the secretary to Lama Yeshe for the last six years of his life and also helped organize His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama’s first world tour. Jacie first started teaching meditation to Westerners at the Jewish Community Center in Boca Raton, Florida in 1987. Jacie is the founder of Tubten Kunga Center in Deerfield Beach, Florida and the mother of Felicity Keeley, Milarepa Center’s director.
